7:19 pm - GOALS (Note how even my goals are insane and random)
To do before leaving St. Louis (in no apparent order):
1. Clean room (and house really)
2. Make (or at least make extensive plans for) instruments made out of (what would be) trash.
3. Write thank you cards for relatives
4. Learn more about making stationary and notebooks
5. Have lots of good hangouts (with friends and family)
6. See Metro play
7. Visit old work and Metro
8. Practice chorus music and also Italian
9. Learn more about furniture building
To do when I get back to Smith (also random order)
1. Clean room
2. Make food for peoples (hopefully also WITH peoples)
3. Make a couch and/or other type of comfy goodness for room.
4. Finish tea set (and maybe have a tea party)
5. Have lots of good hangouts

2:51 am - Fyre, fyre
Okay, so me and the Shack were just playing clay in the ceramics studio, and swept up and everything, like good kids, but we also ended up sweeping up a lot of dust and then the fire alarm went off. So me and the Shack stood guiltily outside the studio until Public Safety came, and we told them what happened, but they pointed out that there was a weird smell, and we realized that there was indeed a weird smell, and the Shack said "Holy shit, we were just in a burning building" and we felt less guilty, and more like it was crazy that we were in a burning building. Then we returned the studio key to the Public Safety office, and the guy in there just said it was the dust. Shack and I were disappointed by this news, and we are also doubtful, because there was a distinctly electrical burning smell, and the lights were being weird as we are leaving. We decided that Smith College is just trying to cover up for a scandal, relating to out of code electrical wiring. Either way it was quite an adventure, and at least so far we don't seem to be in trouble.

Also, throughout this whole adventure, we sang the same song about a twenty million times. It was this American folk song that the Shack sings all the time, that starts out "The water is wide..." and is kind of sad but really pretty.

10:16 pm - "I'm coming home"
Dear St. Louis peoples,
Let it be known, that I shall return to St. Louis tomorrow night, and will remain there until Monday morning. I am also planning to go to trivia night.
Love + See many of you soon,
Ps. Beccah is an awesome HP.
PPS. Ruhi is also awesome.
PPPS. Neither of those comments actually relate much to St. Louis peoples, but you should know both are true.

9:51 pm - Job and blisters
Today was my first day at my new job (oh yes, by the way, I got the one job that I wanted). I now work Mon-Fri 10-4. I am kind of concerned that they might make me work certain Saturdays and Sundays, however I don't think it will be long and it will be fun work/ not office work.

Everyone at my work is hella nice. I had lunch with my supervisor and Leslie (the person who pretty much got me the job) at Union Station, because it is right across from where we took in our mail to the bulk mailing place (a place where as a small child, my mother often forced me to go, when our church had to do bulk mailings) and I left my money at the office. They said they could pay for me, and I could pay them back, but when I tried to pay them back, they refused to take my money. My supervisor (Irene) said that she wanted to treat me, because it was my first day. Then the niceness continued, as Leslie made me a little flyer thing that had a (bad) picture of everyone in the office on it, and wrote their names by it (so I know who people are) and wrote "Welcome to our wacky work family" or something, and everyone in the office welcomed me to my first day of work and they gave me candy and balloons. Apparently these people are obsessed with candy, especially chocolate. So maybe I will buy them chocolate in return for their niceness.

So my day was pretty good. The bad part however, was that it was blister-filled. I wore my mom's shoes (so as to be dressy-officy until I get my own-though I think they will where in) and they gave me hella blisters. To the point that after I had my piano lesson, I took them off, and walked down Waterman (from Skinker to Union) with no shoes on RATHER that sit on the bus with shoes still on. Tomorrow I will wear my (newly polished) spectators and pants, and give my feet a rest. Also I was eating hot pizza, and burnt the top of my mouth, as oft happens with pizza, but this time I burnt it really bad, to the point it blistered into a really huge blister that grew and annoyed me, until it finally popped INSIDE MY MOUTH. Blisters popping in one's mouth=hella gross I feel.

6:36 pm - Presents...
Job update: So I talked to this person from this place I often volunteer for, and asked if they had openings in their office for paid workers. She said that there is an opening for a part-time job that would be 20-30 hours and jobs would be filing, sorting, and answering phones for $7. So now I have to send in a resume, but perhaps could begin work on Tuesday. Also the place is on Lindell and therefore I could easily take the bus there. Yay! Though, I will cry if I don't actually get it, now that I have gotten my hopes up.

6:49 pm
Dear livejournal people,
I need a job. I have no experience. I have no references. I (will) have no transportation except by bus, metrolink, foot, or a combination. I will only be working for 2 months or so. Note how that is hella sad. Does anyone know of anything I can do, anywhere I can work, etc. By typing in "temporary" and "summer" jobs on the computer, the only jobs I am qualified for (ie. aren't "Do you have a degree in dentistry?") are for manual labor in Festus.

Pretty pretty please, give me suggestions.
Ps. If I get lots of comments I will give you all a present.

9:11 pm - Let it be known!
Let it be known, that the Hampton bus line is a poopilicious times three and a quarter. I tried to take the bus and metrolink to piano today, and buses that were supposed to come at two different times DID NOT. This meant that I gave up, walked home, and had to drive to piano or I would be late. In conclusion...curse you Hampton bus!!!! and I will go earlier next time. I will take the bus more now, because clearly I have all hella time, enough to, and it is less stressful than driving, when one has time for two buses not to show up.

Also, let it be known, that the light in my room has been out, or come on mystically and flickered-to the point that Lil' Tom asked me if I was having siezures, and how I could not be having siezures with the light doing so much flicker action- for more than two weeks. It is for real out now, and I really doubt will magically come on. So perhaps I will change it.

Riveting entry, no?

5:30 pm - Weird times 6 and a half
So...today two men in a truck yelled "lesbian" at me in a high pitched voice, then drove off. Then later a bunch of little boys...er..well teenagers...yelled "lesbos" at me, Mo, and Lil' Tom, then ran off. I don't know why two groups of people are yelling "lesbo" or "lesbian" at me, today, when it hasn't really happened in the past, or at least hasn't happened when I wasn't being clearly dykey and holding hands with a girl or something. I also feel that that is a dumb thing to yell, especially since I am not a lesbian. Maybe if it happens again I will just reply, "No, but keep guessing" or something.

Also I accidentally was signed into Yahoo! Messenger all night, and all hella people I don't know started talking to me. So if any of you have tried to talk to me on there, you should tell me, and I won't delete you. Otherwise I will delete all the people, because it seems like they are mostly annoying people who found me via LaunchCast. Also if anyone is sad that I don't talk to them on Yahoo! Messenger, don't be, because I really never go on there, except to talk to Mo about HW, or when my computer signs me in (like last night).

5:15 pm - Break it down nah
So today broken things get a PunchintheFace! My tape player in my car is broken, and therefore will not play Joni Mitchell tape, which I could have really appreciated as it was hot and sunny as hell outside, and on days like that you need some Joni Mitchell. Also my family's sewing machine is broken, so this lady let us borrow hers...the only problem is it is also broken because there is something wrong with the thread tension. Also none of these items actually has a face to be punched...this furthers my frustration...

Also today I went to this rummage sale-ish deally at this church with Lucy, Becky, and Mo. Mo was looking at ties and then ze realized someone was looking at zir, and ze didn't think ze knew the person, but it turned out to by my Voicelessonteacher...and she was like "oh you must be Anna's sister" and I heard them talking and realized that my Voicelessonteacher was there and talked to her and such. Then I found Lucy and introduced Lucy to Voicelessonteacher and Lucy said that I am obsessed with my voice lessons and such and then Voicelessonteacher said "Well Anna is one of my favourite-no my favourite student, abso-fuckin-lutely" and it was really great. Also Voicelessonteacher is really hilarious when looking at rummage sales because she thinks that the clothes are really hilarious, and giggles insane amounts of giggles.

Also I got my little packet about housing etc. from Smith...Eeeek college is scary!

1:52 pm - College etc.
So if you celebrate Easter, Happy Easter. I think I might actually make shoes today like I have been planning to do for a year+.

To anyone that cares to know, I got into the following schools (and others that I have already crossed off my list as they were just "safties") anyways schools I am wondering about: Smith (MA), Bryn Mawr (PA), Bard (NY), and Knox (IL). Those are my places I am thinking about going to, but I cannot decide, and therefore others should assist me. So tell me all the good and bad you know about any or all of those schools, ok?

Also I took this stupid quiz, but I feel the results were quite hilarious, so I had to post, but I put it behind lj-cut because I know that people get annoyed with the excessive posting of quizzes taking up their friends list.

Dumb but hilarious (to me) quizCollapse )

There were Metro cookies today, for the first time in a whole week. I love Metro cookies, and excitement over there return caused me to create a song, which I have now forgotten. I love Metro cookies. This day was the best ever just because my dear cookies returned to me. I love Metro cookies.

current mood: Loving of cookies

5:11 pm - Ms. Pacman needs to stop attacking me.
For those who don't know, I used to be INCREDIBLY obsessed with the arcade game "Ms. Pacman." I have wasted a lot of my own, and other people's money on playing it, and used to have it on my cell phone, and also played this emulator game a great deal, especially over seas this summer.

Recently my computer got all messified, and the history was erased. Nonetheless, some how, TWICE when I have tried to check my email it has been like "RAWRRR... I AM THE MS. PACMAN EMULATOR GAME ATTACKING YOU!!!!!!!1" Then today I am like, let me check my email, and the computer background is this Ms. Pacman related picture I saved off the internet was set as the computer background. Apparently Mo did it, but still I was creeped out a lot, and no Mo, not cool. Ze apparently didn't even do it just to torture me, but hmm... don't know that I believe that.

Also the emulator thing messes with my computer sound and such, although it is fun. Poopapoops... we used to be friends Ms. P, why must you attack me?

current mood: confused

So church was cancelled due to snow/ice, and so will school tomorrow (for the St. Louis Public Schools). Yay! I bet Lily will be excited she has been talking about snow days all winter. I should use this time to write/ fix a lot the following papers: IB Economon Papers 1&2, Extended Essay, and TOK essay. Or I should do my IB art notebook, or prepare for my Economon Presentation, do laundry, and/or clean my room. Instead I will probably watch movies with parental units, eat, sleep, and read during long hot baths. Yay for slacking! Yay for no school. Maybe I will make shoes.

We got 2nd in trivia last night. No team break ups, some nice dragaliciousness, and also Candass proved herself as a God/dess, so yeh just know that Candass really is a God/dess. AND Candass gave me presents that I didn't deserve so yeh, Candass you rock, I love you.

I had a pretty good sleep today. I almost slept 20 hours, and really wanted to sleep more, some good sleeps.

I also made (at least) two people cry today (all in one hour)...I am an asshole.

Tomorrow is dragalicious, and RENT seeing, and trivia playing. Excellent.
